AC and PC Details

Team,

Appreciate all the great work and collaboration of all members of this group!

I am looking for Assembly constituency, parliament constituency, Village, Mandal / Sub district / Tehsil , District and State mapping along with pincode. I tried getting data from data.gov.in but didn;t find an easy way to get this consolidated data for the entire country.

Can you please help point to any resources where I can get the most recent data?

Hi Swami,

I don't know such a dataset but can suggest you on part of this data:

SHRUG dataset (sourced from Trivedi Centre for Political Data) has information which matches AC to villages, mandal etc which is done using geospatial data (recheck this). However, it does not have information on parliamentary constituencies and pincodes.

Another way to go would be to use delimitation documents by Election Commission of India which have PC-AC-District data (and one more administrative level). Districts can further be matched to village, tehsil etc using census data. Note of caution: You will have to add information about newly formed districts/bifurcations etc. Also, this will not have pincode information.

Perhaps combine SHRUG with ECI work. Hope this helps to some extent.
