Workshop on Data Governance issues

Dear All,

We would like to invite interest in attending a workshop being organised
by Data Governance Network (http://datagovernance.org/ ) on data
governance issues in Bengaluru on December 13, 2019  at National Law
School of India University, Bengaluru (NLSIU).

Two full papers and 4 research proposals, as below, will be presented at
the workshop, and participants' engagement with them solicited.

Full papers

1. Operationalizing algorithmic explainability in the context of risk
profiling done by robo financial advisory apps; presentation by Sanjana
Krishnan and Neha Sontakke, CPC Analytics

2. Intermediaries and online harms: unpacking the regulatory responses;
presentation by Varun Bahl, National Institute of Public Finance and Policy

Research proposals

1. Principles for data governance in Indian healthcare: navigating
privacy considerations; presentation by Alexander Fager, IDFC Institute

2. Using non-personal data to augment state capacity: mapping the state
of Kerala; presentation by Harsh Pachisia, IDFC Institute

3. Digital Power Concentration: examining policy responses and options;
presentation by Parminder Jeet Singh, IT for Change

4. Consent in the age of embodied data: an assessment of law and
technology requirements; presentation by Anja Kovacs, Internet Democracy
