DATA NEEDED FOR HOSPITAL BEDS TO POPULATION RATIO

Hi all,

  I am doing a story for electronic media on HEALTHCARE IN INDIA.

The first of a series will be statistics based story on healthcare services in India with respect to availability of beds in comparison to the population.

Urban and rural- together or separate.

Basically any data pertaining to number of beds available in hospitals, clinics, dispensaries across India.

Also if there is data on a few other countries, it would be great.

NFHS (national family health survey) data should have data on beds in different health facilities. It's available on data.gov.in.

Data for other countries is available at the DHS Program.
