Groundwater Monitoring using Satellite data at City Level

I'm exploring the potential of using satellite data for groundwater monitoring at the city level. 

Has anyone worked on or has insights into applying these technologies for tracking groundwater levels, quality, or trends at a city scale? Any resources, tools, or experiences you could share would be greatly appreciated!
