Dear All,

I hope you are doing well. I am looking for population data in raster or vector format for India at the sub-district or village level. If anyone has access to such datasets or can guide me to a source, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,
Vijay Kumar

Hi Vijay

I think you should be able to find what you are looking for here in the SHRUG data set:

The 'core keys' file is the one that contains the names for each SHRID. A SHRID is a unique village which can be traced back from the 2011 census back to the 1991 census. You can merge this core keys file with the appropriate files in the population census folder. And somewhere in there they also have shape files for each SHRID.

Thanks and regards.

Yours sincerely
