Greetings!

I hope this message finds you well. I hope this message finds you well. I am Archit Majumdar from the Association of People with Disability (APD), Bengaluru.

As part of the lead-up to Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) 2026, APD is curating a series of engagements across April and May, bringing together diverse stakeholders to advance accessibility.

Building on your continued support, we wanted to share this upcoming series, which moves across data, dialogue, and action. It includes::

  • The Yes to Access Data Jam in Bengaluru (21st April 2026), bringing stakeholders together to analyse accessibility data and generate actionable insights
  • Public exhibition titled "Circle of Collaboration" in Bengaluru (May 2026), showcasing insights from Yes to Access (YTA) data, Data Jam outputs, and the journey of the initiative through interactive installations
  • A national convening in Delhi on GAAD (21st May 2026), featuring Key Launches, Stakeholder Dialogues, Cross-Sector Collaboration, and the "Circle of Collaboration" public exhibition.

We’d love to invite you and your team to be part of the Yes to Access Data Jam, the first step in this series.

Yes to Access (YTA) is APD’s initiative that uses a mobile app to crowdsource accessibility data across public spaces. To date, over 2,09,000 accessibility checks have been collected across India, helping identify barriers and inform more inclusive planning.

The Data Jam will bring together government stakeholders, urban practitioners, data enthusiasts, and civil society organisations to work hands-on with this data, exploring patterns, identifying systemic gaps, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.

The session will be collaborative and discussion-driven, with participants working in groups to analyse data from Bengaluru, uncover key insights, and co-create governance-aligned recommendations. The outputs will be developed into visual insights and infographics, to be showcased as a part of the "Circle of Collaboration" public exhibition.

Date: 21st April, 2026.

Venue: TBD, Bengaluru (Shall be Communicated in the Confirmation Email)

Given your continued engagement in this space, your perspective would be invaluable. We would be glad to have you join us in shaping this process.
