Hello everyone,

The summary of the session on interrogating community rights, public good and data trustees is published on: https://hasgeek.com/PrivacyMode/npd-week/sub/interrogating-community-public-good-and-data-trust-DE1r1QQU7Wegr6sUmktxS4

This session was held as part of NPD Week, on Wednesday, 27 January. The discussion on global data regulations, and how NPD is positioned is summarized here: https://hasgeek.com/PrivacyMode/npd-week/sub/summary-of-panel-discussion-personal-and-non-perso-SRRvR1SiJkHqcdXQYe423D

This evening, we conclude by discussing privacy issues in NPD and other data regulations forthcoming in India. The session will discuss:
  1. De-anonymization requirement in NPD and implementation in practice given that there is no standard for de-anonymization.
  2. You can always reverse the PDP and NPD datasets despite anonymization. This is one of the privacy concerns that all the interviewees in the Hasgeek NPD survey had. What is the way forward, from a practitioner's standpoint, and the demand for compliance?
  3. NPDA's effectiveness, and concerns that practitioners have.
Follow the discussions on hasgeek.com/PrivacyMode/npd-week

Regards,

Zainab
