Event Invitation: Design Jam on Water in Chennai

Hello all,

OpenCity.in invites you to a design jam in Chennai on "Chennai - Water".

About the event:

At the design jam, participants can look at different aspects of water supply - rainwater harvesting, using treated water, groundwater usage, groundwater recharge through lakes, existing supply of CMWSSB including local level water supply at specific areas.

These aspects can come together to redesign the water supply at the neighbourhood, ward, zone or city level. The goal, eventually, is to design a water-secure Chennai.

When:
April 26th, 2025, Saturday,

10 AM - 5 PM.

Where:
It is a physical event.
Location: IIT-M Research Park, Tharamani, Chennai

Who can participate:

The event is open to all. Anyone with an interest in public problem solving is welcome. 

Knowledge of GIS, Urban planning are a plus but not mandatory.
