Dear Christopher, dear all,
as I already answered directly to Christophers mail: I am sorry that I
missed that first mail because of
messy filtering here.
So, to clearify the point of my survey:
We used the CKAN repository as a starting point to find the
responsible persons behind datasets in the current cloud.
It is not enough for me to know which ontologies are used in the
current cloud. For this purpose, I would not have to ask the people
out there, you are right. If you have a closer look on my survey, you
see that I want to find something out about the way the ontologies
were engineered. And this is a fact I can only get answered by the
people, there is no chance to compute this.
All the results will be published once the survey is finished. And
everything we collect which is of a common interest will be made
available in CKAN (e.g. a cleaned list of project responsible persons
and potentially something more).
I am very sorry if this survey hurts any scientific practice. To my
best knowledge I cannot see this, yet. Moreover, it was never intended
to do so or to limit work for me and transfer it to others.
Due to the fact that several colleagues answered the survey for "their
dataset" I think that they agree that there is a scientific value in
it. If you disagree than I accept it with respect as another
perspective on it.
Apologies for any inconveniences because of my request. I hope to have
the chance of further discussions with you in the future.
Cheers,
Markus
