Chicago posted a review of the tags used in our pioneering webServices
along with some thoughts about how they might be extended and
improved. - Steve

Just uploaded the file "DataFusion Finishing from Chicago
20080715.doc" which is a proposal for the format to report finishing
production from any vendor. It uses <refreshDateTime> to indicate
when each block of data was finished. Since a block of data from a
finishing line might have more than one <batchCode> involved, this
proposal encloses these in a <batches> tag. The example assumes that
four feeding stations are possible, but there is no reason that five
or six or any other number couldn't be included. Note the method used
to indicate NULL data. Presumably, these lines could simply be
omitted, too.

Two older files, "DataFusion Finishing from Chicago 20080620.doc" and
"DFchicagoLineProductionWebService.doc" have been deleted as both of
these documented a web service with several Chicago-only
idiosyncrasies.
