We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Tech Lead to drive platform modernization lifecycle initiatives in a hybrid healthcare IT environment. This role focuses on OpenShift container platform management, Windows/Linux server builds, and automation to support mission-critical healthcare applications. This Role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Red Hat OpenShift clusters with a focus on OpenShift Virtualization (CNV). It includes planning, executing the migration of virtual machines from VMware to OpenShift, creating new Virtual Machines in OpenShift platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the virtualization platform.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead platform modernization projects for healthcare systems using OpenShift.
· Architect, deploy, and maintain OpenShift clusters across hybrid environments.
· Deploy, configure, and maintain OpenShift clusters across production and non-production environments.
· Manage OpenShift Virtualization (CNV) components including KubeVirt.
· Perform cluster upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management.
· Monitor cluster health, performance, and capacity using monitoring tools.
· Troubleshoot issues related to pods, nodes, networking, storage, and VM workloads.
· Assess VMware workloads and create migration plans from vSphere to OpenShift Virtualization.
· Use tools such as Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV) to migrate virtual machines to OpenShift.
· Oversee Windows and Linux server builds and lifecycle management.
· Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation using Ansible, Jenkins, and PowerShell.
· Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST) and enforce security best practices.
· Provide technical leadership and mentor team members.

Qualifications:
· 5+ years in IT infrastructure engineering with strong OpenShift/Kubernetes expertise.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes.
· Deep understanding of OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt).
· Experience migrating workloads from VMware vSphere to OpenShift.
· Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
· Proficiency with Linux (RHEL), networking, virtualization concepts.
· Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server administration and builds.
· Proficiency in containerization, networking, storage, and hybrid cloud environments.
· Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards and security practices.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Preferred certifications: Red Hat OpenShift Administrator, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration.
