Dear @ll,

I've a question regarding the section of <contributors> and the xml:lang attribute. Our university have german and english notation and could I use

    <contributors>

<contributor contributorType="HostingInstitution"> <contributorName xml:lang="en">Bielefeld University</contributorName> <contributorName xml:lang="de">Universität Bielefeld</contributorName> </contributor> </contributors>

    <contributors>

<contributor contributorType="HostingInstitution"> <contributorName xml:lang="en">Bielefeld University</contributorName> </contributor>  <contributor contributorType="HostingInstitution"> <contributorName xml:lang="de">Universität Bielefeld</contributorName> </contributor> </contributors>

Which of the two snippets can/must I use? If this is unique.

Thanks in advance, Andreas

Dear all,

it doesn't look very active here right now.

Best regards, Andreas

Hi Andreas,

It's been a while since you posted this, but I thought I'd try to answer (though I don't work for DataCite).

When I try to validate DataCite XML using the first snippet, I get an error. When I try the second snippet, I get no errors. (I use https://www.freeformatter.com/xml-validator-xsd.html to validate XML.)

It looks like the schema wants only one <contributorName> property under each <contributor> property.

Best,
Julian
