relationType vocabulary service

Hello,

My understanding is DataCite do not want to have their own controlled vocab for relationType. We are looking to build in to our data model these terms and are looking at whether or not to create our own vocab which constrains against Datacite relationType appendix list in the schema or have a broader vocab which contains the Datacite terms in the appendix plus other additional terms, unless something already exists or is planned?

I was wondering:

What do other people do (just constrain internally against the known terms)?

Could DataCite potentially remove/alter the meaning of terms defined in the appendix? Is this FAIR?

What vocab services do DataCite base their list on and could suggestions be provided/cited in the appendix?

Would DataCite consider their own vocab for some of the terms they define/constrain?
