A mouse usually has problems in other programs too. No complaints
there so it's hard to say it's that when he only complained about
DataCAD.
I have wore out many mice but I couldn't wear out a Logitech G5.

Glad to read that all is well.
I hope that everyone will please note how it was resolved.
"I spoke with Mark...."
How many times have each of us said some variation of that whether it
was Mark, Mark, Dave, or one of the less well known names. They have
been there time after time for us and I for one, appreciate it more
than can ever be repaid.
Thank you, DCAD.

I recently had an issue with getting a roof plan together. The roofit
macro did not come with instructions for use. Mark Madura took it upon
himself to develop a movie tutorial that took me through the entire
process using inclined planes. What a superb job he did!!! He even had
to break for dinner!
Thank You Mark.
It is service and communication that make a company great! I never
knew how well I chose a CAD program oh those many years ago when I
bought Dcad 5 for $99.
Thank You

Subject: Rebooting to get Dcad open
When I exit from dcad (v15) and then try to open dcad again, the only
thing that comes up is the V15 logo (which then goes off) and then
nothing. I have to reboot the computer to get v15 to come back on. I
don't have this problem with my laptop, only with the desktop. Has
anyone else had this problem? It's a little frustrating.
TIA

Subject: DBUG> Recalc Extents
Hi Guys,
I have an icon on my toolbar to recalc drawing extents in v 15,
latest
subscription update. It is the exact same sequence that I'm using
for
my toolbar in v 14. I can open the same drawing in both versions of
Dcad, and it works fine in v 14, but in v 15 it recalcs the extents
but then it jumps to the upper right corner of the drawing and zooms
in a little. This has been going on for quite some time, so it's not
from a recent program update. Here's the sequence-
[Recalc___S]
Hint=3DRecalc Extents
Icon=3Drecalc
A=3D:^s0^s8^f2
If I hit /F2 in v 15, the extents recalc and stay displayed on the =
screen as they should. Anyone have any insight as to what I could do
to fix this? It's starting to drive me crazy :-)
Cheers,
Paul

I forgot to mention that if I manually click thru the sequence in v
15, recalc works as it should. It just doesn't work from the toolbar.

I've been spec'ing 24ga Standing Seam (Gal-Kynar) Roofs for decades.
Today one was delivered to a jobsite with the consistency of Toilet
Paper. I had a physical sample of what I had approved with me and the
differences were night-day.
We got a Factory Rep to show up when I would not sign off on the
deliver receipt and he went on to spout out about how their "alloy
mix" were proprietary ...etc....What about the ASTM Stnds in the
spec ? I asked......he stared blankly.........OMG. I sent it back.
Thank goodness for good consumer protection laws in TX.
Specs,Samples,Mockups......FIRE!
I'm not sure if this is just a TX thing because things are so busy but
it's quite unsettling.

Paul,
If I follow the string you give below (:^S0^S8^F2) I end up in the 3D
Copy command. The problem is the S0 in your string, it is taking you
out of the Utility menu and into Edit. Remove the S0 so you just have
^:^S8^F2 and you should be good to go.

Not sure, my toolbars have a mixed ending of some with the "^" some
without. You might trying to add the "^" to the end of the sequence
and see if that changes it?

Hi Guys,
Solved the problem, just don't know why what I did had any bearing on
the issue but here goes. Here's my toolbar commands which follow my
Recalc Extents command-
[Recalc___S]
Hint=3DRecalc Extents
Icon=3Drecalc
A=3D^:^s8^f2
[Space32]
Hint=3D
Icon=3DSpace32
A=3D^c;
[Space32]
Hint=3D
Icon=3DSpace32
A=3D^c;
[Ashford32]
Hint=3DAshford
Icon=3DAshford32
B=3DC:\DataCAD 15\Symbols\PBRDESIGN S\Ashford
Note on the last command line that is says "B=3DC:\DataCAD 15\" . Up
until now, it was referencing Datacad 14, not 15. I have Datacad 14
on my computer as well and I guess when I went from v 14 to v 15, it
just copied my toolbar but did not change the 14 to 15 in this command
line above. I just happened to notice it and figured I might as well
change it to 15, since I was in the toolbar file anyway. When I
opened up v15 to make sure the "Ashford32" command worked, I found
that it also fixed the issue I was having with Recalc Extents. I just
don't know why.
Cheers,
Paul
