Conversion of .drf file to .aec file

I accidently copied an older file from a recovery disc to the drawing folder and overwrote the current drawing. 

How do I use the recovered file to restore  the  drawing  as best as possible.

Hi Mike,

The first thing I would check is the BAK file - if you saved it TWICE as
you exited, then the BAK would be up to date with the last save.

Other than that, I would say you need a to try a program that can
recover a deleted file; which is more difficult.
