Symbol Browser Problem

[Interstate Showcase]

Just had my hard drive ported into new computer.

When i open my symbol browser the browser only displays a few of my symbol templates. If I click on 'browser' and wait about 2 minutes all the other folder finally come up. This does not happen when accessing it from the 'insert' menu.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what you mean by ported into a new computer but I find that
accessing the folders through the symbol browser can be surprisingly slow.
Nothing like two minutes though. I noticed that it was a bit slow on a
colleague's computer too. In both cases, DataCad and the SYM subdirectory
are on the same partition, and the drive is in the box.

I didn't know that you could get to symbols through the insert menu and I
see that the access is instantaneous.
