Objective: Seeking two experienced Automation Engineers to support the
deployment and integration of a Manufacturing Data Fabric at Atlanta site. The
engineers will work closely with internal teams and technology partners to
ensure seamless connectivity, data acquisition, and automation across
manufacturing assets and systems. The engineers will also be expected to
understand and support automation systems in compliance with Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements specific to the animal health
industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate
with IT/OT teams to integrate manufacturing equipment and systems into the
data fabric architecture.
- Design,
develop, and implement automation solutions for data acquisition,
transformation, and transmission.
- Configure
and troubleshoot PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and other industrial control systems.
- Ensure
secure and reliable data flow from edge devices to central data platforms.
- Support
the deployment of edge computing devices and IIoT gateways.
- Document
system configurations, workflows, and integration points.
- Provide
technical support during commissioning and post-deployment phases.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related
field.
- 5+
years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
- Strong
hands-on experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley,
Schneider).
- Familiarity
with SCADA systems, OPC UA/DA, MQTT, and industrial communication
protocols.
- Experience
with IIoT platforms and edge computing devices
- Deep
expertise with Ignition by Inductive Automation
- Experience
working in GMP-regulated environments
- Familiarity
with validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Knowledge
of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
- Excellent
problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience
with Process Control Systems (PCS), Building Management System (BMS),
Environmental Management Solution (EMS), Manufacturing Execution Systems
(MES) integration.
- Exposure
to cloud-based data platforms (preferable Azure IoT).
- Familiarity
with Python, Node-RED, or other scripting tools for automation.
- Understanding
and experience of implementing a Unified Name Space OR a semantic
contextualization layer of data in an ISA-95 structure.
- Certifications
in industrial automation or cybersecurity (e.g., TUV, ISA/IEC 62443).
Engagement Model:
- Full-time,
on-site presence required (Mo-Th)
- Engineers
will report to the Automation site Lead and collaborate with
cross-functional teams.
- Vendors
must ensure resource availability for the entire duration of the project.
- The
engineers should be based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area
