Hello, I think it is a great idea to do such a benchmark, chapeau! I also think it would be interesting to have results with other SQL and NoSQL databases.

Hi Antonio.

I agree with you. The first implementation was running for Mysql and PostgreSQL, but the time of execution of was too high.

Maybe if in the future, if we can find a sponsor to help with the Amazon EC2 bill, will be possible to have more databases.

Flavio,

Does this mean that MySQL was significantly slower than Postgres? I was planning on moving my app from Mongo to MySQL once the schema is stable, but wondered if Postgres was a better choice for Activate.

Hi Grant.

In my tests, postgresql has considerably better scalability results than mysql. Mysql hardly can use more than two cores.
Important: Maybe it is a question of configuration, I used both databases with the default configuration.
