Hello Everyone,
I received a comment from a reviewer.
Why did you prefer alternative hypothesis over the null hypothesis?
I chose this unidirectional hypothesis because my literature Reviews showed positive results in previous studies.
Could there be any other explanations?
Please help me respond it.
Regards,

Dear SMN
Even if the review suggests a positive relation, we shd work on the Null hypothesis which states that there is no difference between the 2 groups or there is no relation between the 2 variables.
If p<0.05 then we can conclude that there is sig diff/relation and looking at the signs of the mean scores, we can conclude about the direction.
Best wishes
