Respected sir and group members,

I used CB-SEM (in AMOS) in my consumer behaviour study, and my final sample size was 383. To justify the sample size, I used the citations of Bentler and Chou (1987) (5 to 10 respondents per measured variable) and Hair et al. 2006 (sample of 200 is sufficient).

I have received the following reviewer comment:
"For the sample size, use the more recent and prominent reference (one or two) to justify your sample size".

I have come across a paper by Hair et al. (2014) :
Hair, J. F., Gabriel, M., & Patel, V. (2014). AMOS covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM): Guidelines on its application as a marketing research tool. Brazilian Journal of Marketing13(2).

I am not sure if this is the most appropriate reference, I would be highly obliged if anyone could help me with a better reference.

Thanking you in anticipation

Regards,
Dhun

Use the formula as used in the previous issues of the journal you're submitting your paper to.
