Dear Neeraj Sir,

After the discontinuation of the UGC CARE listed journal system, I am somewhat uncertain about which publication venues are now considered acceptable for academic or institutional requirements.

Given that publishing in Scopus or Web of Science -indexed journals can be quite challenging for early-career researchers, I would appreciate your advice on which publication houses or journal categories are currently recognised and appropriate for research publication and academic evaluation.

Additionally, I would be grateful for any suggestions regarding journals that align with the latest UGC or institutional guidelines.

Thank you very much for your time and guidance.

Regards,

Dr Kanwalpreet Kaur

Dear KKP
The choice of journal actually depends on the type of institution you wish to target.
For example, most Indian IIMs refer to the ABDC Journal Quality List, while most institutions in the USA and Europe prefer ABS Journals. IITs and NITs prefer Scopus-indexed journals.
So, decide which institutions you wish to target.
Best wishes
