Respected Sir and Group members,

I have downloaded the data from Scopus & Web of Science and  after using the filtering criteria, I got a combined result of 400 from R Studio. I have saved the combined file in excel and plain text format. After uploading the combined file at biblioshiny, I got most of the results regarding relevant Journals, keywords, top Authors, etc., but when I tried to upload the plain text file at VOS viewer for citation and co citation analysis , it was showing some error as "an invalid column header". I faced the same problem when I did citation and co citation analysis at biblioshiny, the interface showed the error as "duplicate row.names are not allowed" . I am attaching a Screenshot for the same. Please let me know the way  to solve this problem. I thank you in advance.

Regards
Nancy

Dear Nancy,

I would like to present a few solutions to the problem you are facing,

1. Consider these, (a) You must select all the options while downloading your data file (csv) from Scopus. (b) You must select and download complete records (txt) from WOS. Then generate the combined files from the merging and duplicate removal process executed on the R program. This will help you avoid the error you faced while doing co-citation and citation analysis on bibliometrix-R.

2. The combined file generated from R after the merge and duplicate removal won't function on VOSviewer; you must use a different method to generate combined datafile using Zotero. This method has been explained in the youtube video given below.

Hope it helps

Respected sir,
I am also facing problems in bibliometric.
Since I have no access from scopus I have downloaded files from ebsco and dimensions but I am getting error in biblioshiny.
I am successful in completing all vosviewer files when I have downloaded data  from dimensions, but I am unable to do Thematic analysis in Biblioshiny R programming.
Can anyone recommend any other than scopus and wos bibliometric database for bibliometric analysis.
Thanking,
Zertaj

Zartaj,

You may face difficulty tackling reviewers' comments; they may question why you have not used WOS or Scopus databases, as they are the largest abstract and citation databases. You can choose any of the two or both. Also, your results will be questioned too. So try getting access with the help of your friends.

Hope it helps

Fateh
