query regarding interpretation of negative interaction effect

Dear Neeraj sir and Group members,

 I am facing difficulty in interpreting the negative value of cross level interaction effect where IV (Level 2 variable) is continuous and moderator (Level 1 variable) is dichotomous. I am doing a cross level interaction using mplus. How should I interpret the negative coefficient? I looked in many books and research articles but could not understand. Please help.

Yes sir, the level 1 variable (within group var) is Accuracy (0 and 1). Level 2 variable (between group var) is motivation score. When I ran cross level interaction of these two on DV (info seeking behaviour), the coefficent is negative. The main effect for motivation is positive while main effect for accuracy is negative and the interaction effect is also negative. I am unable to interpret the negative coefficient of interaction effect.

Also sir, if you could suggest some sources where I can find information on how and what to report in multilevel analysis using mplus, i would be grateful to you.
