Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope you are doing well.
I am currently pursuing my PhD and working on a research study that requires financial performance data from CMIE Prowess and ESG scores from Bloomberg. However, I would like to inform you that I currently do not have access to either of these databases and am also not familiar with the process of obtaining access.
As my research work is time-sensitive, I kindly request you to please provide me access to these databases or guide me on how I can obtain the required permissions. Additionally, I would greatly appreciate any support regarding how to use these platforms for data extraction.
Your assistance will be extremely valuable for the timely completion of my research work.
I would be grateful for your prompt response.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Yours sincerely,
Falak

Hi,

Thank you for the information.

Since Bloomberg ESG scores are not available for India, I wanted to ask—does anyone know how to calculate ESG scores using BRSR (Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting) data of Indian companies?

Also, could anyone suggest any alternative databases or platforms from where ESG scores for Indian companies can be extracted?

Any guidance on methodology, indicators, or reliable data sources would be very helpful for my PhD research.

Thank you

There is a CRISIL published ESG ratings report. Check that.
