Calculation of R square in ANN

Hello dear scholars,

I'm currently working on an ANN analysis (through Smart PLS-SPSS); however, I'm struggling to calculate R-squared (R^2) using ANN. Can any knowledgeable scholar guide me through this calculation? Your help is greatly appreciated."

Dear Ameen,

How did you train and predict values for target variable from your ANN model using SmartPLS or SPSS? Both don't do that.

You need to get the predicted values from your ANN model using other tools, then use SPSS to calculate the residual sum of squares, the total sum of squares, and R-squared.

Yes I did the same. Already calculated RMSE both for training and testing but the question is how to compute R Square in the context?
