Optimization toolbox

What is global optimization toolbox? How can we use it using python or R ?

Global Optimization Toolbox usually refers to MATLAB’s add-on solves difficult optimization problems where local solvers (like gradient descent/Newton) can get stuck in bad minima. 

It includes algorithms such as Genetic Algorithm (GA), Pattern Search, Simulated Annealing, Particle Swarm, GlobalSearch, and MultiStart.
