Query of Data Integration

Hope you are doing well. 

I would like to know clarification on the Data Integration for a mixed method design. Data Integration can happen at design, methods and discussion level. 

I have adopted exploratory sequential design for my study as the findings of the interview helped to draft the instrument for quantitative study. There is integration at the methods level. 

1. What factors should be considered to adopt integration at discussion level also ?
