Dear Neeraj Sir and Respected Members,
I hope this email finds you well. I am reaching out to you as I am in need of your help and guidance on a methodological issue I am facing in my research.
I have been conducting a study where I have adapted a questionnaire for my research purposes. However, besides the adapted items, I have also self-formed certain items to measure a specific construct. At this stage, I am contemplating whether I should proceed with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) alone or if both CFA and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) are necessary for my study.
I am uncertain about the most appropriate statistical approach to ensure the validity and reliability of my measures. I wonder if conducting EFA alongside CFA could provide additional insights, particularly for the self-formed items.
Thank you very much for considering my request.
Warm regards,
Mehraj Wani
