Good evening group members,

In our pre PhD coursework, when being taught about the sampling procedure, we were explained how convenience sampling cannot be used to come to a valid conclusion.
As a researcher, I always see scholars posting their questionnaires to be filled in by other members. I myself have done so.
My question is how do we justify this sampling and also can convenience sampling be used for empirical analysis.?

Dear Tanu
For the infinite population, only Non-probability sampling can be used.
The much talked Random sampling can be used only in Finite population where Sampling frame is available.
Best wishes
