LIKERT SCALE NORMALITY

Q1)

SIR, Is it necessary for the Likert scale to have normality. can we still go for parametric tests in case our Likert scale data is not normally distributed?


Q2)

should we conduct EFA differently for three different variables which are a part of our study and then consider their total variance or EFA should be conducted individually for one variable at a time and then see how much variance one variable is explaining?

1. Preferably Yes but I never saw data collected from the Likert scale normally distributed
2. DV & IDVs had never be taken together in EFA
