Respected all,
I wrote a research paper using exploratory factor analysis and One way ANOVA. For EFA I have provided the results of  KMO, Bartlett's test of sphericity, item factor loading, constructs Cronbach alpha, and total variance explained. For ANOVA first, I tested the assumption of normality and homogeneity of variance and provided the results for the same along with the SPSS ANOVA table containing f-statistics, df, mean square, and sig value. Post-hoc was conducted and results were explained in language.
Recently I got a review and the reviewer suggested doing diagnostic testing for validating and generalising the results.
Kindly suggest to me the test that can be done for the same.
Regards

For validation, you may split your file randomly into 2 groups and then use EFA on both groups.
See whether the results are similar or not.
Generally, this shd be done when there is large sample size (of the order of 500+)

You may try EFA on one group and CFA on the other. CFA shall address the validity issues.

Sir what if the sample size is less than 500? Then how can we validate EFA results?

Split your file into 2 groups. Apply EFA to one and extract the other into a new file. Use that for CFA
