Major revision of Manuscript with reviewers rejection

Respected  all,

 

I have recently submitted one of my manuscripts to a reputable journal, after 3 months of peer review, I got the decision letter in which they asked for a major revision. My concern here is that both reviewers have rejected the manuscript with the given comments, then how come they asked for a major revision? Does this case happen with the journal? Please help if someone has faced the same issue in the past with their respective manuscripts.

This is a revise and resubmit case, i.e., if you revise and resubmit the manuscript, they will look at it again.

Yes, this is possible, because sometimes editor took his own call to send it for revision or rejection .. so don’t you can proceed for revision

I also had same situation recently rejection and revision. I revised manuscript i. e. major revision but unfortunately they rejected in the next revision. I hope this may not be case with you. Go for revision it will surely improve your manuscript.

Yes, its entirely chief editor discretion to reject or revise the article. If decisions are made to revise , you can proceed

Yes I have faced the same situation with a Q1 journal. They stated as rejected, encourage resubmission with major revisions. So I did the revisions entirely and submitted and they accepted the manuscript, but I couldn't proceed due to high APC charges. So kindly do the revisions, u will get acceptance
