Dear All,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working on my research
and have prepared a questionnaire that includes 5 variables with 13
sub-variables. Based on previous studies, it is recommended to keep at
least 3 statements under each sub-variable.

However, if I follow this approach, the total number of statements comes to
64 (as I have 2 sections, each containing 32 statements), which makes the
questionnaire quite lengthy.

My concern is: What if I include only 2 statements under each sub-variable
instead of 3? Will this affect the reliability/validity of the study, or
would it still be acceptable? I would greatly appreciate your suggestions
and guidance on this matter.

Thank you very much for your time and support.
Neeraj Kaushik <kaushi...@gmail.com>: Aug 27 06:05AM +0530

Dear Nikita

For determining the number of statements per construct, it's important to
consider the software you're using. SmartPLS is quite flexible and can work
with constructs that have even just one item. However, if you are using
AMOS, it generally prefers at least three items per construct, although you
can still work with two.

But the decision on the number of items should be driven by the validity
and reliability of your constructs, rather than solely by the software's
capabilities. Ensuring your measurements are robust will be key to the
quality of your study.

Best wishes
Neeraj

Dear Neeraj Sir and other group members,

I have a doubt -

What is Nemenyi test and when should I opt for this test?
Neeraj Kaushik <kaushi...@gmail.com>: Aug 27 05:37AM +0530

Dear Shreya

Nemenyi test is a *non-parametric post-hoc test *used to compare all
possible pairs of group means after a significant Kruskal-Wallis H-test.
This test is used when we have

- more than two independent groups,
- dependent variable is ordinal or continuous but not normally
distributed, and
- the Kruskal-Wallis test indicates a significant difference among the
groups.

Essentially, it tells which specific group pairs are significantly
different from each other when the overall Kruskal-Wallis test suggests a
difference exists.

We can perform using the following R-packages: PMCMR
<https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/PMCMR/index.html> DescTools
<https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/DescTools/index.html>

Best wishes
Neeraj
