Dear Friends

Let's take a break from Text Analysis using Quanteda and discuss the differences between Conceptual and Theoretical Frameworks. Recently my friend Prof Brijesh shared this paper where the difference between the two terms has been explained in detail.

Is There a Conceptual Difference between Theoretical and Conceptual Frameworks? by Sitwala Namwinji Imenda
January 2014 Journal of Social Sciences 38(2):185-195
DOI: 10.1080/09718923.2014.11893249
Available on
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/273770340_Is_There_a_Conceptual_Difference_between_Theoretical_and_Conceptual_Frameworks

This paper not only provides the differences between the 2 terms, it also provides the definition and meaning of so many other terms too. I found this paper worth reading and hence made a video on the same.

Respected Sir,

Greetings for the day!

In any research continuum discussions(in the quantitative studies and under the umbrella of Positivism), there are following steps adhered very seriously:
a. Observations are usually called the "NOUMENA" or pure sensory experiences leading to the formation of "layers of observation" .
b. Patterns identified as "PHENOMENA" or "Schemata"
c. Dichotomies like "deductive and inductive", "subject and object", "mind and brain", etc.
d. At the pattern levels, concepts are formed
e. The total summation of concepts leads to the theoretical development, building and using them
f. Various concepts help in the making of the theories
g. Models are formed via theories

These are discussed in the books authored by Saunders et al, Dr. Arindam Bhattacharya, and others. I keep highlighting these above-mentioned points in my workshops. There are a number of papers published on these points also. For example
2.  : Pielsticker, F. (2021). Concept Formation Processes regarding Height and Base in Triangles. International Electronic Journal of Mathematics Education

The scholars and faculties who attended some of my workshops may read the given paper by Neeraj Sir. There is "hot iron" in front of you. why not hit it with the hammer and identify the errors or anomalies through Popperian "Theory of Falsification" or Kuhnian "Paradigm Shift". Also kindly observe whether the author has focused on abstract or concrete concepts in his paper.

Thanks and regards,
Ramani Swarna

1. Plz search previous post in group before posing the question.
2. Don't write query in someone's post. Always use the option of New topic for the new question. You can do this by writing to dataanalys...@googlegroups.com
3. Its better to give a proper subject to your post/query. It'll help others while searching.
4. Never write Open ended queries. This group intend to help research scholars NOT FOR WORK THEM.
5. Never write words like URGENT in ur posts. People will help them when they are free.
6. Never upload any info about National Seminars/Conferences. Send such info on personal emails. And feel free to share any RESEARCH related info.
7. No Happy New Year, Happy Diwali, Happy Holi, Happy B'day, Happy Anniversary etc. allowed on this group.
8. Few months back there was a facility for asking & sharing the Research Papers. Now there is no provision of asking for the research paper here.

Let’s make a better research environment.
