Hello members,

In smart pls, the model fit indices of saturated model or estimated model has to be considered?

Dear Prerna

The saturated model provides the best possible values for the given model while the estimated model provides the model fit values of your model.
Hence estimated model only shd be reported.

Further, for years the developers of SmartPLS never believed in model fit indicator values and in fact criticized this concept. Hence in SmartPLS v2 there were absolutely no model fit values. Even in SmartPLS v3 there were just a few values.

But recently some of the authors have started reporting model fit indicators in SmartPLS too. Plz refer one such paper

Best wishes

Dear sir

I am working on a model on SmartPLS (PLS-SEM) where I have got all the values as recommended. However, the SRMR values is 0.088 and NFI value is 0.804 of the estimated model.
How do I improve the value of SRMR? Most of the loadings are 0.8 and above with few of them being less than it. However, removing them also does not solve the purpose. Moreover, I am having a formative construct (IDV) as well and hence removing items from them is difficult as the final model contains their latent scores.
Looking forward for your guidance on the same.

Thanks and Regards
Shipra
