Validity of Unidimensional scale

Dear members, 

What are the measures of validity of a unidimensional scale? 

(eg. In case of bifactor scale - Convergent and discriminant validity; AVE, CR etc.)

How to report these measures?

Dear Subhankar

The following types of validity exist:

1. Content Validity

2. Construct Validity

(A) Convergent Validity

(B) Discriminant Validity

(C) Nomological Validity

(D) Predictive Validity

When there is only one dimension (construct) in a scale, only Content, Convergent & Nomological Validity can be reported. Discriminant and Predictive Validity need one more construct.
