Dear group members
Good evening,

I need to know how to compute t-value in AMOS to check the significance of relationship between two construct.

Dear Sid
The CR value in SEM Output is t-statistics value.

Estimate S.E. C.R. P
Rich_tot <--- Self_cor .222 .055 4.045 ***
Rich_tot <--- JD_total .121 .026 4.577 ***
Rich_tot <--- HR_total .096 .033 2.934 .003
sub_3yrs <--- Rich_tot .093 .105 .889 .374

Read the P-value the same way we read in Regression.

Null hypothesis: Estimate=0 (Like here I'm assuming 0.222 is almost zero or No sig diff between the estimate and zero)
When p-value less than 0.05 (When p-value is less than 0.01, AMOS represents it as ***), Null hypothesis is rejecetd.
So here, Null hypothesis rejected for Self-Cor, JD_total and HR_total and NOT REJECTED for Rich_tot

Best wishes
Neeraj

sir, please explain the estimates here are standardised or unstandardized. and  same thing when we do in CFA analysis then one unstandardized value which have regression weight 1, there is no CR value reflects for that indicator , so my concern is that in that case how we can analyse the CR value.

sir in cfa we need standardised loading so at that time how we will calculate the CR value for all indicators.

Dear Vikrant
Regression table always provides unstandardized estimates.
For getting standardized estimates, plz click on Analysis Properties->Output tab->Standardized estimates

Standardized estimates are used for calculating validity statistics and Unstandardized estimates are used only in Moderator analysis.

I think you shd attend any introductory workshop for SEM. Its difficult for me to write so much things here.

Best wishes
Neeraj

sure sir and thanks for your prompt reply sir please let me know any SEM workshop and kindly tell me sir in cfa we need standardised loading so at that time how we will calculate the CR value for all indicators.

Thanks sir we know that and regarding this we were talking to the organiser mam but as you know we are outstation students and there is is stay arrangement at nominal price madam suggest some hotels near by but that cost 1200-1300/- per day and this is the  huge amount for us as a student. we are very much excited to attend your workshop but due to stay arrangement it is difficult to us.

Thanks with regards

Dear vikrant,

To calculate the CR value for the indicator with regression weight 1 , change the regression weight of 1 to some other item and then run the anlalysis to identify the CR

I have tried this, but in this case the previous t-values are changing for other items as well. Is there any another way to identify t-values for items with regression weight 1?

Thanks,
