Dear Professors & Scholars,

This is regarding an enquiry about putting two affiliations for a paper to be presented in a conference and for further publication in an IEEE xplore.
I work as Faculty in an university in Delhi and also a research scholar in IIT.
Can I put my two affiliations for the same paper publication? If so, what could be pros and cons of the same.

I would be grateful if someone would advise on the same.
I would request, Dr Neeraj Sir, to guide me on this.

Kindly forgive me for brevity and typos, if any.

With regards,

Ravi

Dear RK,

Using tw affiliations is not a problem. However, I have a few recommendations:
1. If this is a thesis-related paper, and you want to use it for your thesis, do not use double affiliation.
2. If you have obtained permission from your institute to pursue the phd, then you must use double affiliation.
3. Seek permission from your supervisor and try to understand the positives and ives of this act.

Best wishes,
