Dear Friends

In Feb 2020 issues of Communication Methods and Measures journal, Prof Hayes has written a paper Use Omega Rather than Cronbach’s Alpha for Estimating Reliability. But…

Reference: Andrew F. Hayes & Jacob J. Coutts (2020) Use Omega Rather than Cronbach’s Alpha for Estimating Reliability. But…, Communication Methods and Measures, 14:1, 1-24, DOI: 10.1080/19312458.2020.1718629

Here, he has advocated for the use of Omega in place of Cronbach alpha. He has also made SPSS Macro for the same which is available on http://afhayes.com/spss-sas-and-r-macros-and-code.html
When you'll download this macro, you'll find his complete paper too along with the datafiles used in that paper.

I've discussed his paper on in two videos. In the first video, I've discussed some serious issues of Cronbach Alpha.

Dear Friends

In the second part, I've discussed the process of installing Omega Macro in SPSS, steps for its computations in 3 Softwares: SPSS, AMOS and R-Studio.

Alpha vs Omega Part-2 (Omega installation and Computation Mechanisms in SPSS, AMOS and R-Studio): https://youtu.be/P8zyWKwKhwA
