Hello everyone,

I've been exploring Artificial Neural Networks in SPSS and found the videos by Mr. Neeraj Kaushik to be quite informative. However, I have a question about applying this technique when there are one or two mediators and one moderator in the model.

Should the same procedure demonstrated in the YouTube videos by Mr. Kaushik be followed in such cases, or are there any specific considerations or adjustments needed when dealing with mediators and moderators in the context of Artificial Neural Networks in SPSS? I'd appreciate any insights or guidance on this matter.

Thank you!

Neeraj Kaushik

Dear Ameen
Plz note the ANN is a  technique from the domain of computer applications and here the outcome var (DV) is predicted on the basis of predictors (IDV), but there are no statistical assumptions as are there in Regression analysis. So ANN is just a substitute for the regression analysis.
Just like we can not run mediation analysis in Regression (in SPSS), mediation analysis is also not possible in ANN.
Best wishes
