Hi !

Noospheer is a Toronto based startup that is building a data integration + visualization platform.

Our data set is essentially a large and ever-growing graph with weighted edges. The larger the weight of an edge connecting two nodes, the closer those two nodes are. Further, each node is associated with some string of text that needs to be rendered and legible to the user in browser.

We need a means of visualizing this graph -- not in the typical sense where lines are drawn between nodes, but instead using edge weights to reflect Euclidean distance between nodes (note: the space does not necessarily satisfy triangle inequality). And again, each node has some associated string that needs to be readable, so there are interesting UX challenges. The viz must be dynamic, in that users will select nodes (sometimes 2 or more nodes), and the UI will have to adapt.

The viz algo should work for both 3D (three.js) and 2D scenarios.

Position is contract, remote work.

Cheers,
