Lead Designer Role at Infogr8

Job Start: October 2014.
Status: Full time / 4 day week considered.
Salary: TBD based on credentials.
Location: Clerkenwell, London, UK

Infogr8 is a fully-integrated boutique information design & data visualization agency, set up in 2012 as a single need to bring static data to life; charts should be for everyone. We join data, design, and content strategy via a tried and trusted framework.

It’s been consistent growth here in our first 24 months, having worked for leading organisations and big brands for many good causes. We are 100% privately owned and managed, allowing us to set our own environment and give you freedom, responsibility and the opportunity to grow in your specialist area.

The Role

Lead – lead production team to optimise workflow, hold shape, and maintain integrity across all deliverables.

Design – create stunning data visualisations, infographics and dashboards from concept to completion. Lead the design across interactives and animation projects.

Inspire – inspire and architect a blueprint art direction for the team to adopt. Set standards and determine creative direction. Wow your team, clients and the design community with your knowledge and creativity in referencing playing with different social, cultural, and fashionable design and storytelling techniques.


Role Requirements

You have:

· A minimum of 5 years proven excellence working in design and information visualisation.
· A portfolio of proof giving evidence of compelling information design, and data visualisations across different platforms / formats.
· Advanced usage of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
· A degree in art / graphic design / interaction design / or similar.
· An interest, or application of UX design.
· An expert handle on typography, layout, space, and motion.
· Experience in managing teams, and client expectations. You have a gravitas that can justify rationale to steer your clients and colleagues into a learned excellence.
· An insatiable thirst for knowledge, challenge, variety, learning, and innovation.
· You exude positivity, energy and a need to ‘ship’.
