Reuters is looking for a seasoned economic and financial graphics specialist in New York or London to create news-driven data visualizations. Candidates should have a reporter's instinct for finding the stories embedded in data, and the design skills to surface them in a meaningful way.
They must have strong graphics experience in a newsroom, preferably focused on financial and economic coverage, and a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional storytelling skills in both breaking news and feature work.
The ability to collaborate with others is essential as the job requires working with interactive developers in New York, graphics colleagues in London and Singapore, and text reporters around the world.
Technical mastery with applications such as Excel and Adobe Illustrator is required and proficiency with generating content in HTML5/CSS/Javascript is highly desired.
The position reports to the Deputy Head of Graphics and will be a Guild role if based in New York.
