Data Visualization / User Interface (UI) Engineer (contract and/or full time)

Our user interface is instrumental to the success of our goal, and our users’ experience is key to our strategy. Our fast growing team needs a user interface / data visualization engineer who believes strongly in fostering delight through meaningful interactions with cutting-edge technology born out of MIT. We want someone gifted in developing amazing and interactive visualizations for the web, so that we can impress our users with stunningly beautiful, simple, and intuitive design. As a user interface / data visualization engineer, you will work closely with world-class User Experience (UX), design, and engineering teams in creating a human-centric product in an awesome, fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities
Work very closely with our design team to develop award-winning, next-generation, interactive data visualizations for the web
Implement new, amazing user interfaces
Engage with data-heavy back-end systems
Job Requirements
Excellent ability to listen and work closely with UX and related teams
Good communication skills and a good sense of humor
Qualifications
An amazing portfolio showing work with creativity and world-class design
Expert-level HTML, (object-oriented) JavaScript, and CSS skills.
Experience creating fresh and clean visualizations in the startup, consumer-oriented domain (big plus)
Fluency with visualization libraries (e.g., Processing, D3, etc.)
B.S. or higher in Computer Science or (equivalent experience)
