Members of the Oregon State Legislature rely on the subject matter expertise of the Legislative Policy and Research Office (LPRO) to provide non-partisan, objective research, data, and committee management to help craft the legislation that affects all Oregonians.  LPRO Research Analysts design, execute, and present major research and analysis projects to inform policy development and evaluation by the members of the Legislative Assembly.

This is a newly developed position that will require an experienced research professional, well versed in quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed methods research design and analysis, including using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data to prepare narrative or statistical reports. The successful candidate will regularly use strong written and oral communication skills to convey complex information in an accessible way for policymakers and stakeholders.

LPRO is made up of a collaborative and supportive team that is eager to introduce this new position to their catalog of exceptional services.  This unique opportunity will provide the successful candidate the ability to work directly with legislators, stakeholders and the general public, putting them close to the action in a way that most state policy analysts will not experience in their careers.
