Civic Hacking group formed within Dallas Makerspace

We're booting up a Civic Hacking group within Dallas Makerspace. We held the first meeting last night and should have board approval by next week. Here's a link to our page in the DMS wiki:

It will probably be a week or so before we can get rolling on our first project but I'll be sure to post something here so non-DMS folks can join in too. We're thinking something simple like an OSM mapping party would be a good start.
Among other things, this group will help coordinate our team of civic hackers with other regional groups for future projects. We'll add links on our page to other regional civic hacking groups and interested parties. If you've got a website for your group up already, post a reply with a link and I'll add it to our page ASAP.
This also gives us a framework to support donations of servers, bandwidth, or equipment for use in DFW civic hacking projects under the 501(c)(3) umbrella of Dallas Makerspace.
