Data Illustrator is a great tool not only for engineers, also for other non-BS users. I am a BI visualization engineer. I recently started using tool and would love to hear if there is any future plan to export the illustration as javascript output, which I can integrate in my web application easily and then keep refreshing the data based on time.

Hi DJ, thanks for getting in touch with us and thank you for your warm comments about Data Illustrator.

There is no current feature for generating html/javascript output to refresh your chart's data based on time. I just want to clarify what you mean by "refreshing the data based on time". I think I understand what you mean, but I just want to be sure. Is it one of the following:

1: Are you referring to having the chart's representative data change by a "time" data column? Similar to how https://www.gapminder.org/tools/ animates over a range of years?

2. Or are you referring to having a live updated chart? Where the dataset is being updated periodically.

Thanks John for responding to this topic.
I am looking for the option 2. I want to embed this on my html page and dynamically load data from database and refresh this graphics periodically.

Thanks for providing info on how you would use Data Illustrator on your website. We don't plan to support embedded html/js in the near future (next 3-6 months). But this is a long term goal for us to consider. We want to make sure our users can embed the visualizations they create in DI, and we also want to make sure that our users have extended use of their visualizations.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
