My story starts here. I am a new product in market. I don't have any ad in TV, paper or wall. Just someone created me and sent me in the market.
Yes, it was my first day and I reached the shop from where they were going to sale me. I was so happy and excited that now I could spread my taste all over.
1st Day:
It was very nice place, little bit clumsy but I managed. OMG !!! I could see Red label Tea, Taj Mahal Tea, Baghbakri tea and Tetley. That was really nice. They were famous in market. And I got place in between them.
Day 3rd :
Customer : Give me one good tea packet.
Shopkeeper : Which one sir?
Customer : Anything Taj Mahal or Tetley.
Shopkeeper : ok Sir, but I have a new tea powder cost is only Rs 18 for 500gm.
Customer : which one?
Shopkeeper : Reshmi chai.
Customer : What is this brand? I never heard about it. Leave it, give me some branded one.
"OH!! Great!!! Stupid customer. Buy me then judge me". I felt bad. Shop closed for the day. Everyone was having fun. Tetley was so happy because someone ordered for 10 packs at a time. Taj Mahal, daily people were buying. Bu I was unable to participate in the party. So I set quietly.
Few Days Later: Got same response from other customers and feeling upset. Even that night Red label asked me for a dance but I refused as I was upset and was badly hurt.
After few days : The shopkeeper put me in front of his shop so that customer could see me and my tag (OFF Rs 5/- Hurry�) I was hoping to get some positive response. But again I could not catch their attention. That day customer brought baghbakri chai, which was not so famous but not me. Felt very bad. That night all teas were having fun but I could not participate.
Again after few days: I was again in a very special place where everyone could see me but no one even bother to see me. Why? Some tea had flavor of masala, some came with very good pack, some tea came along with tea leaf, and some tea had brand name with numbers of ad with big celebrity. No one did nothing for me, then how could be I become special? Why should people buy me? How could I spread my taste?
Another Day:
Same place, same discount offer, every thing was same. But today something different happened. One boy aged around 9 years old came, he was not our regular customer.
Boy: "Give me one tea packet, its urgent my mother is sick. I need to go back to home early."
Shopkeeper gave Red label.
Boy saw the pack and said "do u have small pack, I don't have money to buy this."
Shopkeeper: "Then take this Reshmi chai, the price is less."
Boy took me and paid the price.
Hmm� Boy went to a slum area, seemed he was living there.
Boy: "Mother, I brought tea and bread, just wait for few minutes, then you can take your medicine."
The boy made me with sugar and water then gave me to his mother along with bread.
Mother said while taking tea, "Son, I don't have strength to go for work so you have to take care of our tea stall."
Boy: "I will take care of that mother. U take rest"
Mother nodded.
Boy: "Mother I brought one new tea powder. Can we buy it for our business as this one I found cheaper than others. We will get huge discount if we buy in bulk."
Mother: "Ok son, the taste is not bad so we can use it."
Boy took one sip of me and said . "hmmm really good taste mother and the price is more comfortable than our previous product."
Reshmi Chai: "In previous days I was feeling so upset and bad because people judge me before they know me. And was thinking that I created for nothing and one day they will through me in dust bin without tasting me and would call me as waste product.
But today I am happy. I don't have brand name or don't have extra qualities as like other teas are having. Then also people can buy me, because of my good taste and reasonable price."
Moral: Everyone has a specialty so don't compare with others. Everyone is created for a goal and is different from other's. So don't be upset if no one has noticed you, every one has a right time to be noticed. And don't worry, just enjoy your day with whatever you have.
