I'm a contract programmer. Most of my clients are hardware companies
that support Windows. My usual work is to write macOS drivers for
them.

A few months ago Apple issued me a kext signing certificate. If I
understand correctly, my cert is somehow tied to my current client.

My driver is quite close to shipping; I'm already making plans for my
next client. This second client wants a Mac driver too.

Do I need to request a new kext cert to use on behalf of my second client?

I think they will also need a Developer ID cert. If so could someone
tell me where I can apply for one on my second client's behalf?

Entrepreneurially,

Mike

You can find out by looking at the certificates COMMON NAME.

Viele Grüße/Cheers,

I think you’ll have the best luck asking Apple Developer Relations directly:

B.J.,

Thank you very much. I was previously unaware of the Developer
Program Contact Form.

I submitted my question just now.
