top and uptime show that the load average stays at roughly 2.0; the
CPU is a two-core i5.
The cursor eventually _does_ stop spinning, perhaps ten minutes after
launching it. At that point it seems to work normally.
That it takes so long before I can using it is my expeditious
development of my client's driver.
This is IORegistryExplorer 3.0.2 on macOS Sierra 10.12.5 (16F73) and a
Late 2014 Mac mini, Model Identifier Macmini7,1.
Google yields no insight; I find no mentions on this at Stackoverflow
or
lists.apple.com
.
